This policy explains what personal information shivikrishna.com collects when you use this site, why we collect it, who else can see it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We have tried to write it in plain English rather than legal language.
Who we are
shivikrishna.com is run by Shivi Krishna, and sells recorded courses, live cohorts and one-to-one sessions in Tarot and Reiki. If you have any question about this policy or about your information, email us at hello@shivikrishna.com.
What we collect
- Your email address. Needed to create your account and to send you a sign-in link.
- Your name, if you sign in with Google or choose to add it to your profile.
- Your country, if you add it, and the country your connection comes from. We use these to show prices in the right currency.
- What you have bought and which courses you have access to.
- Your progress — which lessons you have marked as complete.
- Basic technical information that any website receives, such as your IP address and browser, used to keep the site working and secure.
We do not ask for, and do not want, any special category information such as health or religious data. Please do not send it to us.
Card and payment details
We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN, CVV or bank credentials. Payments are handled entirely by our payment providers, who are responsible for that data. We only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed, along with a reference number, so we can give you access to what you bought and answer questions about it later.
Why we use your information
- To create your account and sign you in.
- To give you access to courses and sessions you have paid for.
- To remember your progress through a course.
- To send you messages related to your purchase, such as a receipt or a reminder about a live session.
- To keep the site secure and diagnose problems.
- To meet our legal and tax obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Who else processes your information
We use a small number of established service providers to run the site. They only process your information on our instructions, for the purpose described:
- Supabase — stores your account and course data.
- Vercel — hosts and serves the website.
- Resend — delivers emails such as your sign-in link.
- Razorpay — processes payments made in Indian rupees.
- Stripe — processes payments made in US dollars.
- Bunny Stream — hosts and delivers course videos.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with your Google account, in which case Google tells us your email address and name.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
Where your information is stored
Your account data is stored in India. Some of the providers listed above operate internationally, which means your information may be processed in other countries. Where that happens, we rely on those providers’ contractual safeguards for international transfers.
Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies, and nothing else. They keep you signed in, keep your session secure, and remember the currency you chose. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. If you block these cookies, signing in will not work.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and access records for as long as you have an account with us, so that you keep access to what you have bought. Records of payments are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, which is typically several years, even if you close your account.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete your account and the personal information attached to it. You can also withdraw consent to marketing messages at any time. To do any of these, email hello@shivikrishna.com from the address on your account, and we will respond within a reasonable period.
Deleting your account removes your access to any course you have bought, and we cannot restore it afterwards. We may need to keep payment records even after deletion, as described above.
Children
This site is not intended for children. Please do not create an account if you are under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we will tell account holders by email.
